Christmas Markets in Germany

If you’ve known me longer than a minute you know - along with Disneyland and being on safari in Africa - Germany at Christmastime is my happy place. To me there’s nothing to compare to the centuries-old architecture, the beautiful and pervasive Christmas decorations, the cozy traditional Christmas feeling, the Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas markets), the smell and taste of steaming hot Glühwein in adorable little collectible mugs, Lebkuchen (gingerbread), bratwurst, Käsespätzle (cheesy carb deliciousness!) and more German Christmas delights than I could possibly begin to describe.

This window in December is both bittersweet because it's when Larry was taken from us. So this year, Caroline and I visited our favorite places while we remember and celebrate our love for Larry, immersed in the magical German Christmas markets of Munich, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Nürnberg, and Regensburg!
